Published August 17, 2009 When Will The Browns Score an Offensive TD?It may be a bit counterintuitive to feel a longing sense of disappointment after watching the Browns produce exactly zero offensive touchdowns for what I believe was the eighth straight game. It was, after all, a preseason game. So does it really count? I’m not sure. But it is my lingering suspicion that this unfruitful streak is as much, if not more, in the back of the teams mind as it is in my own. And the players on this team seem to get mentally rattled quite easily. This should be an easy fix, as these same players have the talent. Hopefully the newly formed staff can break the cycle of counter productivity. Obviously there is still plenty of work to be done. Obviously everybody knows that sentiment to be true. Patience is indeed important when following this team. These are words that have been uttered time and time again. Patience, potential, and words and ideas along the same vein are all too familiar. The time has come to produce, be it preseason or otherwise.

I think if they don't have some serious offensive success in at least one preseason game, this issue is going to be in their heads so much that it'll become an even larger road block for them when the regular season starts and they'll be lucky to average 10 pts. per game this year.
Incredible that once again, even though it was a preseason game, the Browns completely failed to score in the opener. Pretty funny, really.
