Buckeyes poised for title run

Buckeyes poised for title run

By

The Buckeyes seem poised for another run at the BCS title game.  There seems to be no reason why they shouldn't run the table from here on out.  The defense is the best it has been in a long time, which is saying a lot.  Beanie Wells is becoming the beast at RB that everyone expected.  Boeckman, aside from a couple of bad mistakes against Michigan State, is playing solid football.  While Robiskie and Hartline are legitimate threats at WR.  The thing i like most about the position the Buckeyes are in this year compared to last year is the fact that they are playing somewhat under the radar.  Last year they were expected to win, whereas this year they have crept into the number one spot sort of unexpected.

There are still some tests left this season though, and I can guarantee that Ohio State is never under the radar when it comes to facing Big Ten opponents.  Penn State and Michigan (both on the road) should be the toughest tests.  That being said, the only way the Buckeyes will lose those games or any of the other remaining games is if they beat themselves.

To fully understand the confidence that myself and every other Buckeye fan has in this teams ability to make a title run, one must look no further than the head coach.  Jim Tressel has been in these situations many times in the past.  He will be prepared and he will have the team prepared.  With Tressel at the helms, a cast of weapons on offense, and an all around nasty defense, be prepared to see the Buckeyes in another BCS title game come this January.
