Checking CBJ Standings Turning into Habit

The Blue Jackets appear to be on their way to their first playoff berth. Checking the standings compulsively has turned into a habit for myself and other starved fans.

Does anyone else find themselves checking the NHL playoff standings frequently? I mean close to hourly? As if something will change from breakfast to lunch? I do.

The CBJs have had sixth place on lock down for weeks now - and that should remain the same barring any late season slumps or surges. This is what keeps me checking the NHL standings...constantly. During my lunch break. When I get home. Before bed. First thing in the morning.

The site alone of seeing Columbus holding a seed in the playoffs makes me (and the rest of the starved CBJ fans) ecstatic. It's almost as if I have to check the standings 6-7 times a day just to make sure it's still all true.

This has been a fun season, and I think I join many CBJ fans in that I am as thrilled as Scott Howson to see that it appears we'll have hockey in Columbus beyond the end of the regular season. Keep it up boys.
