The "Real" Top 25, week 10For the first time in what seems like forever, the teams who were supposed to win, did win. There still are a few games to be played, but the BCS picture is starting to look a bit clearer. 1. Ohio State (9-0) (1): I didn't get to see much of the game against PSU because Tennessee was on at the same time, but I saw enough. There is no doubt in my mind that it is better than it was last year, and OSU will be playing in the BCS championship. 2. LSU (7-1) (2): A much needed bye week before the Saban bowl this week at Alabama. 3. Boston College (8-0) (3): Not very impressive at all, but a win at Va Tech is still pretty impressive. Not overly tough games remaining in the ACC. 4. Oregon (7-1) (4): A pretty impressive win over USC, but people are making too big of a deal out of it. A win over ASU this week, and talks should be about a BCS championship. 5. Oklahoma (7-1) (5): The Sooners still have some tough games ahead, but with the way the North division has been beating up on the South, the games might not be as hard as advertised. 6. West Virginia (7-1) (6): Looked very impressive in a dominating performance over Rutgers. When its backfield is healthy, it is tough to beat. 7. Arizona State (8-0) (9): Still no overly impressive wins thanks to Cal's debacle, but that could change this week. The Sun Devils Kepp getting the job done though. 8. Kansas (8-0) (11): A very surprising win to me over Texas A&M on the road proves that the Jayhawks are legit. Two cupcakes at home coming up with Nebraska and ISU before a trip to OSU and a neutral match with Mizzou. 9. Missouri (7-1) (12): Speaking of Mizzou, how is it that everytime it wins a big game, the team it beat falls flat the next week? A huge game at Colorado this week will prove if the Tigers can finally win a big game on the road. 10. Georgia (6-2) (16): The Bulldogs looked very impressive in their win over Florida, but Auburn and UK still remain for a chance at the SEC East. 11. Michigan (7-2) (17): The Maize and Blue have run wild over the little 10 opponents, but that will come to a screeching halt in a couple weeks. 12. Texas (7-2) (18): I can't believe the Horns are this high on my list. They are not very good, but then again, who is? 13. Virginia Tech (6-2) (8): There is no shame in losing at home to an undefeated team, with your backup QB. When will coaches realize that prevent defense only prevents you from winning? 14. Alabama (6-2) (25): Don't ask me how I can move a team up 11 spots after a bye week. It is my poll and I will do what I want! I like the Tide over LSU, by the way. 15. USC (6-2) (13): A tough loss in Eugene doesn't drop the Trojans much. Everyone talking about the end of a dynasty though is a bit premature. 16. Auburn (6-3) (20): This is a team that wishes there was a playoff more than anyone else this year. The Tigers can beat anyone. 17. Florida (5-3) (7): A disappointing loss to UGA drops the Gators pretty far. They can't rely on one man to carry them through the SEC. 18. UCONN (7-1) (-): Another impressive win for the team alone in first in the Big East. Still some tough games ahead, like the trip to West Virginia. 19. Hawaii (8-0) (24): Would someone just beat this team already! I am tired of hearing them listed in the unbeatens, it is a joke! 20. South Florida (7-2) (10): The Bulls continue to find trouble on the road in the vaunted Big East. 21. Wisconsin (7-2) (-): I decided to put the Badgers back in the rankings for a week before they decend once again. 22. Tennessee (5-3) (-): I have never seen a team look so good and then so bad in a game. However, the Vols control their own destiny in the SEC East thanks to a win over Georgia. 23. Wake Forest (6-2) (-): It is quietly having another solid year, with one of its losses at BC by just 10 points. 24. Clemson (6-2) (-): The Tigers are still hanging around after blowing away the Terps. 25. South Carolina (6-3) (15): The quarterback changes continue as the Gamecocks are a good QB away from running away with the SEC East. Best of the rest: Kentucky, Boise State, California, UVA
