It is said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. You did the same things against Florida and got wacked. You did the same things against LSU and got pasted. You, once again, did the same things against USC. Did you really expect a different result?

To whom it may concern at The Ohio State University football program:

Please find enclosed the following notice for suspension of support of your activities related to NCAA football.

There is simply no excuse for a program so full of experienced talent - coaches and players alike - to perform the way it has in front of a national audience the past three seasons.

In a previous communication from this author, you were warned about maintaining the same system of playcalling by the head coach and staff, who show all the imagination and ingenuity of plain yogurt. And yet you did nothing new.

You were warned about keeping the same soft, slow offensive lineman and coaching them the same way. And yet you did nothing new.

You were warned about the devastating defects of the zone-blitz defense, particularly against top-flight offenses. And yet you did nothing new.

It is said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. You did the same things against Florida and got wacked. You did the same things against LSU and got pasted. You, once again, did the same things against USC. Did you really expect a different result?

The only different result we can reliably predict from this program is that this quality of coaching and playing will virtually guarantee a four or five-loss season and no repeat of a Big Ten conference championship.

Of course, we have loved being Buckeyes and look forward to renewing our support when the necessary changes are made and visible to everyone. So, until a top-flight offensive coordinator is hired; until a new defensive scheme is established; until tough, fast linemen are recruited and coached up instead of down...keep on being crazy.
