Why Does Skip Bayless Hate On Lebron?

I watch First Take on ESPN. When I get home from work I check my DVR and watch that right before PTI comes on. It's my hour of sports debate. In Friday's episode of First Take, they were debating where Lebron James would go in this years NFL draft. He was a rather good high school football player. Maurice Jones-Drew was on there and he said he would be the #1 pick. Scoop Jackson pretty much agreed with him. Then it was Skip Bayless' turn. Skip was talking about maybe 2nd round most likely 6th or 7th round would be where Lebron would go. I have no problem with what he said. That's his opinion. But it is the way he said it.

I tend to go by the motto, it's not what you say but how you say it, and whenever there is a mention of Lebron on that show, Skip Bayless seems to put on his Hater hat before he can say anything. I understand that maybe Skip thinks that the media and fans have given Lebron the throne a bit early, calling him The King and all, I get that. But Skip seems to find fault in everything Lebron does. I honestly feel as if Skip were to see Lebron bend down and pick up a penny off the floor, he would criticize the way Lebron bent down and picked up that penny. It doesn't make any sense.

Skip always mentions how Lebron flexes his muscles after he makes a basket or how the Cavaliers are having too much fun and "taking pics" before the game or how they were dancing when they played the Celtics. He says it is all uncalled for. He says that Michael Jordan never did anything like that. He says that he doesn't think that Lebron has that killer instinct to close games that Michael Jordan had. The list goes on and on. During Friday nights game against the Pistons, Lebron finished an alley oop from Mo Williams and he screamed. A few times actually. I take his screaming as his frustration going away. He was having a tough time in the 3rd quarter and that play helped. I'm sure Skip found fault in that screaming.

Am I missing something? Please let me know if I'm wrong about this. Do you think that Skip Bayless is right in his criticism of Lebron or is he just a hater?

Skip Bayless is a moron. He's jealous of Lebron's success and fame. I can't figure him out either, but he's really annoying and can't seem to muster up any positive thoughts about Lebron James who has surpassed Michael Jordan in several statistical categories. Lebron always carries himself with class and represents Cleveland with class. Now Bayless won't shut up about Lebron not shaking hands with Dwight Howard at the end of game 6. Let it go Bayless. You'll never have the kind of success Lebron has.

I say you can't be a commentator unless you've played the game you are commentating on with some success. This guy talks about basketball like he's played the game. High school basketball doesn't count. He acts like he has this large following of people. Like his word says it all. Skip Bayless should talk about mud wrestling matches.

100 percent agree. Bayless is a total moron. He is making it his mission in life to hate Lebron James. I seriously dont know any other player in history that was hyped as much as Lebron coming into The L. And with all that pressure, Lebron has done nothing but shine. He is a great ball player. He doesn't deserve the negative attention that Skip Bayless and others are giving him. Bayless should give respect and just find a job doing something else because he is just down right wrong.

Skip is definitely a huge idiot. But to think that Lebron has surpassed MJ in anything other than a stat on the back of a card is a bit out there. I have no doubt that by the time it is all said and done that Lebron will be the better of the two players. But until he starts stacking up some jewelry the argument is redundant. Lebron is a classy player, but not the brightest. Wearing a Yankees hat to an indians game? If thats not a sign of the things to come then what is? Anyway, dont want to start a fight...those are just my opionions.

He has every reason to hate on LeBitch. If he really wants to honor great players then he should drop the "KING" from his name. At least until he can actually win something and not get the broom in the Finals. He is a self absorbed douchebag that will leave Cleveland to chase a ring. He can not make Cleveland a N.B.A. powerhouse like Jordan did for the (small market at the time) Chicago Bulls. So all you brainwashed fans, Skip has EVERY RIGHT to hate on a guy that HAS NOT WON ANYTHING!!!!!!!!

Like Michael made chicago? Are you an idiot? Have you watched basketball in the passed 20 years? Scotty Pippin, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, none of these players helped? 15 years from now are you gonna be arguing that Anderson Varejeo helped the Cavs? No your not. Please dont dis on Lebron when MJ had more help than anyone. Kobe had Shaq now Gasol. Lebron has no one. He just beat the Lakers without Mo Williams. You have no reasoning for what you are saying about Lebron.

Chicago is and never was a small market...when jordan was there it was the second or third biggest city in america and is still up there.

Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, George Gervin, Dominique Wilkins, David Thompson, Jason Kidd. COMBINED CHAMPIONSHIPS: 0. Does that mean that they were not great? Will Perdue has FOUR RINGS!!! Big Deal. Even Skip, on numerous occasions, admits he continues to get better, and is the obvious MVP right now. His career probably isn't even half over yet, and his career is already better than most hall of famers. Michael Jordan did not win until his 7th year, and he was already the best player to ever play. Also Chicago hasn't been a "small maket" since like 1820 or some shit.

Skip Bayless is totally correct. He, unlike all of you, is not brain washed by espn. Although Lebraun is physically gifted, he is far from being a basket ball player. All lebraun has is a lower the shoulder move, which last time i checked is a charge, that gets him to the freethrow line. Too bad there are no enforcers in the league anymore that are willing to take a charge or lay lebraun out. dont forget that espn is run by sports gambling and the maffia, dont let them trick you into believing in something that is not. Skip, your the man, as there are few of you that have the balls to say whats right.

I don't know why, but Skip has always had a problem with LeBron. Maybe it's personal but i always got the feeling that if LeBron were to win 10 championships like Russell, Skip would find some major fault with him.

I think he's right about LeBron. He just thinks that he doesn't use his real strength, he says he's the best to ever do it, drive to the basket. LeBron can shoot but if LeBron drove far more like Bayless says he would always score or get fouled. Remember Bayless covered Jordan in Chicago starting in 96, so he could be partial.
