What I Learned In Sports This Weekend

A few things in sports from this weekend I glanced at while I was on vacation.

This past weekend I spent my time in Pittsburgh. It was......weird. Okay actually I had fun but since I live in Ohio I just thought it would fitting. While in Pittsburgh I didn't spend a lot of my time watching sports but I checked up on what I could. Here are some things I've learned.

1. PNC Park is pretty nice. Of course no one played there while I was in town but it seemed like a cool place to watch baseball. It's a nice place for a team that well is the Pirates.

2. The Blue Jackets know how to hurt people. Imagine being around all these Penguin fans, in their surroundings, and your home team is up on them 3-1 with at least 4 (I believe) minutes to go. And yet they find a way to lose 4-3. Oh Blue Jackets. I don't care if you were playing the defending Stanley Cup champions. DON'T LOSE A 3-1 LEAD LIKE THAT!

3. Someone likes to eye gouge? Like I said I wasn't watching much sports but I did hear that Urban Meyer suspended Brandon Spikes for the first half of the Vanderbilt game because he eye gouged someone. That only gets a first half suspension? Hmm.....

4. USC. What is going on? Just like Ohio State isn't suppose to lose the little ones (Purdue), USC isn't suppose to lose the big ones. I'm confused.

5. Giants lose but Yankees win. Giants lose 3 straight but they still have the Yankees, right? They are up 3-1 in the series but are down in game 5. But aren't they doing this on purpose? They don't wanna win it all in Philly when they can win it in the new Yankee Stadium, right? I'm reading into this too much. I know. I know. Just like a girl.
