Published August 15, 2009 Recommended Reading This College Football SeasonIt's been a busy week in college football. The Coaches Poll came out last Friday and the Mags are putting out their college football preview issues. I'm currently in the middle of reading SI and Sporting News, as well as some great college football blogs to keep me informed on what is going on. Now I'm here to help keep everyone informed in what is going on in their favorite sport. If college football is your favorite then I have good news for you today. Listed below are 10 blogs that I recommend to all college football fans. 1. Eleven Warriors. Let's face it. We live in Columbus, Ohio. Most of us are Ohio State fans. So I start this list with my favorite Ohio State blog. I tell them they are my favorite Ohio State blog. They probably get sick of me saying that they are my favorite Ohio State blog. Have I mentioned they are my favorite Ohio State blog? They post daily in-depth articles about our beloved Buckeyes. They've also just recently gotten in the podcast game with those enemies up north but we won't hold that against them. 2. Dr. Saturday. This blog just celebrated its one year anniversary. Congrats! I'm a big fan of the group that writes for the blog on Yahoo Sports. They've been able to help me deal with the college football off-season (does it feel like it gets longer every year or is it just me?) and I'm sure will have even more information for us during the season. 3. EDSBS. Every Day Should Be Saturday. I couldn't agree anymore. You may want to have some kind of sense of humor while reading this site. It's probably one of the funniest sites I've read. And yes, even the jokes on Tressel are hilarious. 4. Phil Steele. You already have the magazine now you can visit his site to read his blog. Yes. The man has a blog too. He is a workhorse and we love him for it. 5. The Wiz of Odds. A college football site for winners. Along with the site's own post it has a daily post called Reporters Notebook that finds articles for you to read regarding college football so that you don't have to look for articles on your own. 6. ESPN College Football Nation Blog. I have to say that ESPN just may have done something right here. They have bloggers for each BCS conference as well as Mid-Major and Independent teams. Being a Buckeye fan I read the Big Ten blog a lot and I highly recommend for Big Ten fans. 7. The Solid Verbal. You should definitely add this as one of the podcast that you listen to weekly. Oh and they do a little bit of blogging so why not just add this site to your RSS reader while you are at it. 8. The Quad. The New York Times College Sports blog. They've been ranking the teams from 120 to 1 this off-season including what they thought of that team last year. And the writers are writers that work for the New York Times. Can you really go wrong there? 9. MGOBLOG. Yes I did just add a Michigan Blog to this list. I am the type of person that would like to know everything about my enemy. And being that Michigan is Ohio State's rival it is important to add this site to my RSS reader. Oh and if you are a Michigan fan this site is very resourceful. 10. Heisman Pundit. Breaking Down The Politics of The Most Prestigious Award In Sports. Want to know anything about the Heisman trophy? I suggest you check out this site. I'm sure I've missed some blogs that you may read on a daily basis like Our Honor Defend or my girl over at Gridiron Goddess. Leave a comment and let us know what other sites we should be reading during the college football season.
