Don't Give Up Cavs Fans, The Red Sox Didn't

It was 2004. The ALCS seemed to be a walk in the park for the New York Yankees. They were one game away from sweeping the Boston Red Sox. A team/franchise that was "cursed". It had been 86 years before they won the World Series and it looked like it was going on 87. Then it happened. They won one game. Then two. Then three, four. They were in a 3-0 hole to there hated rival and came back to make it to the World Series. Then they swept the St. Louis Cardinals to become 2004 World Series Champs.

Wondering why this could matter to you as a Cavaliers fan? Your team is down 3-1 so maybe it doesn't. There is a chance that Orlando could win game 5 or 6 or 7. But the keyword here is chance. Because there is also a chance that the Cavaliers could win game 5, 6 and 7.

I'm not trying to make any Cleveland fan look through rose-colored glasses here. I'm just saying that there is a chance. I understand from afar what you've been through as a Cleveland sports fan. Only from afar. I'm from the Cincinnati area and I've seen a Super Bowl appearance (1989) and a World Series Championship (1990). I'm also a Buckeye fan who has seen an NCAA championship in football and two final four appearances. I don't actually know what you are going through right now. I just thought I'd try to help you step away from the ledge. Don't give up on the Cavaliers. They might surprise you.
