Questioning why Skip Bayless finds fault in all that Lebron James does.
I watch First Take on ESPN. When I get home from work I check my DVR and watch that right before PTI comes on. It's my hour of sports debate. In Friday's episode of First Take, they were debating where Lebron James would go in this years NFL draft. He was a rather good high school football player. Maurice Jones-Drew was on there and he said he would be the #1 pick. Scoop Jackson pretty much agreed with him. Then it was Skip Bayless' turn. Skip was talking about maybe 2nd round most likely 6th or 7th round would be where Lebron would go. I have no problem with what he said. That's his opinion. But it is the way he said it.
I tend to go by the motto, it's not what you say but how you say it, and whenever there is a mention of Lebron on that show, Skip Bayless seems to put on his Hater hat before he can say anything. I understand that maybe Skip thinks that the media and fans have given Lebron the throne a bit early, calling him The King and all, I get that. But Skip seems to find fault in everything Lebron does. I honestly feel as if Skip were to see Lebron bend down and pick up a penny off the floor, he would criticize the way Lebron bent down and picked up that penny. It doesn't make any sense.
Skip always mentions how Lebron flexes his muscles after he makes a basket or how the Cavaliers are having too much fun and "taking pics" before the game or how they were dancing when they played the Celtics. He says it is all uncalled for. He says that Michael Jordan never did anything like that. He says that he doesn't think that Lebron has that killer instinct to close games that Michael Jordan had. The list goes on and on. During Friday nights game against the Pistons, Lebron finished an alley oop from Mo Williams and he screamed. A few times actually. I take his screaming as his frustration going away. He was having a tough time in the 3rd quarter and that play helped. I'm sure Skip found fault in that screaming.
Am I missing something? Please let me know if I'm wrong about this. Do you think that Skip Bayless is right in his criticism of Lebron or is he just a hater?
