Browns trade Charlie Frye to SeattleReports just released around 1pm this afternoon say that the Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade Charlie Frye to the Seattle Seahawks. No terms have been made public yet. It's also not known whether this means that first round draft pick Brady Quinn will now become the starter, or if the Browns plan on sticking with Derek Anderson for now. More info will be posted when it becomes available. ----------------------- Update: The trade was made official, with Cleveland receiving an undisclosed draft pick (thought to be a 6th rounder) in return for Frye. After dropping Frye from their roster, the Browns are expected to sign Ken Dorsey, who the team cut before the season started. Dorsey had been acting as a mentor to Brady Quinn during training camp. It still hasn't been announced by the Browns who their starting quarterback will be this Sunday against the Bengals. ------------------------ Update: Derek Anderson will start Sunday's game against the Bengals, while Brady Quinn will now be the backup, and Ken Dorsey the third string quarterback and mentor to both Anderson and Quinn. Browns GM Phil Savage said he had trade discussions with other teams about both Frye and Anderson since the draft, but that teams seemed more interested in Frye.
