Browns and Bills face off Sunday in a game with huge playoff implications... seriously.

Browns face Bills with playoffs looming

By

After an ugly win over the Jets on Sunday, the Browns head into what may prove to be the most important game of their season.  Hopefully the less than stellar play from Derek Anderson over the past two games has run its course.  With the defense showing improvement and Jamal Lewis playing at an enormously high level, Derek Anderson needs to get back to the way he has been playing almost all season long.  This is the week to do it.

This Sunday’s game against Buffalo is loaded with huge playoff implications in the AFC, specifically for the Browns and the Bills.  Expect Browns fans to be primed for the occasion.  It should prove to be a good game.  The Bills are playing well offensively and have an exceptional defense.  The Browns’ two previous games were sloppy, yet they should have one both rather than just the one they did.  The defense and the running game were forced to play better because of the sporadic passing game, each being as encouraging as the other.  Now is as good a time as any to put all the pieces together.

If the passing attack gets back to where it should the Browns are going to be the team nobody wants to face in the playoffs, if they aren’t already.  With their playoff fate still under their control, it’s very simple:  win and they’re in.  As Romeo Crennel continues to point out, the team is taking it one game at a time.  That game is this weekend against Buffalo.
