Greenville 24 Thurgood Marshall 6

Tonight at Welcome Stadium in Dayton, Ohio the Greenville Green Wave came calling on Thurgood Marshall. THE Green Wave came in 3-1, while Marshall was looking for their first win of the season. Number 28, Zachry Milling for the Green Wave would run behind his impressive offense line to pick up a first down when his team was facing a fourth and one, with 7:34 left in the opening quarter. Milling would go the final four-yards of a twelve-play fifty-nine-yard drive to put his team up, 6-0, with 4:39 showing on the first quarter clock. The point after was missed largely due to a bad snap and the holder not being able to field the ball cleanly.

Marshall quarterback number 13 would be sacked by number 58 of Greenville for an eight-yard loss, with 3:00 left in the fast-moving opening quarter. After failing to get the first down Marshall would punt the ball away. The punt was blocked by the Green Wave and picked of by Marshall's Robert Clark, who picked up a chunk of yards giving his team first and ten. With 2:23 showing on the clock, six of Marshall picked up fifteen-yards on a sweet looking run.

Greenville faced a third and seven with 7:25 left in the half when Milling had his number called and he responded with a nice juke move. Then with 6:24 left on the clock Milling went sixty-four-yards for a score as he kicked it into another gear leaving the entire defensive unit of Marshall way behind him. The drive took just five plays and went for seventy-eight-yards. After a two-point run by Milling the Green Wave had a 14-0 lead.

With just .29 left in the half Greenville scored again when number1 connected on a twenty-one-yard field goal to increase the lead to, 17-0.

Greenville would cap off a three-play eighty-eight-yard drive when Milling went fifty-two-yards. The point after increased the lead to, 24-0, with 7:31 left in the third quarter.

Greenville kept Marshall in this one with three fumbles in the second half. Marshall was able to capitalize on one fumble for its only score when number six broke several tackles and bounced outside to go sixteen-yards for the score. A two-point run failed making the final score, 24-6 Greenville.

Sorry for the numbers and not the names of the players but there were no programs sold on the visitors side of the stadium.
